If ordering Online please select the "Colour Matched" option & tell us your choice in the "Notes" box at checkout.

Please note that our accuracy can only be as good as the sample supplied and that the same colour supplied in different types of finish (gloss, matt, etc) can appear to be slightly different under different lighting conditions - this is due to differing levels of reflectance & affects all brands equally.

Colours are matched manually under high quality D65 artificial daylight

Please Note: all Air-Purifying Paints, Insulating Paints, Limewash & Matchpots cannot be colour-matched.

The smallest quantity of paint we can supply is normally that shown online, but please contact us for any special requests.

Where does Ecos fit in the scheme of things ?

Ecos is a high quality niche paint producer who uses no solvents nor VOCs.
The brand leaders in the UK are Dulux and Crown.
Dulux was previously owned by ICI – the world's largest chemical company and is currently
(2011) owned by akzo nobel - one of the world's largest chemical manufacturers.
Dulux paint and Crown paints are arguably intertwined in the public perception since the
acquisition of the Dulux brand by akzo nobel. Both Crown paint and Dulux are high quality
brands, but not solvent-free paints.
The "designer" or estate niche is probably led by Farrow and Ball paints – who, whilst of
exceptional quality, are also not a solvent-free brand.
The Farrow & Ball estate emulsion has become a byword for quality.
The Farrow & Ball colour range – as exemplified by the estate emulsion - is largely
predicated on an historical estate or heritage background – for which it is famed. Farrow
and Ball colours – whilst not a solvent-free company - are well-known for their quality,
subtlety and seem to confer an almost unique image.
F & B also produce wallpapers, amongst other things – the trademark Farrow and Ball
handmade papers being almost unique in being produced from Farrow and Ball's own paint.
Fired Earth is another quality paint producer who also supply fabrics, emulsion tiles and
many other homeware items; Fired Earth is a part of the AGA Group, but Fired Earth are
also not a solvent-free company.
Little Greene is another high quality niche provider of paints, wallpapers, etc who are also
not – unfortunately - solvent-free.
Little Greene are stated to originate in 1773 – a considerable heritage indeed ! Little Greene
have an enviable perception in the public eye.
Nutshell paints are a UK based company, but again – Nutshell are not solvent-free !
